Audience research analysis

The audience research questionnaire I did helped me finalize on a decision of what song to choose. From what I found, I noticed that very few people know about Indie rock music to comment about it. This means that I could try create a music video of this genre to try ignite their opinion appeal for it. However, this could raise problems on the appeal to the video as not many people like the genre enough, so they may not like the video created. I also found that the majority of the people I asked prefer narrative over performance. Therefore, my music video shall include a narrative in it. Another thing I found is that very few people watch music videos regularly. This could mean that my video may have to be very good to appeal to them. It could also mean that I could vary the content of what is in the video as they may not recognize what features in a stereotypical music video, however I will still follow all the basic conventions of a music video in order for it to be successful.
